Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Utilizes and applies the ANA Nursing Process (2010) across multiple patient care settings.
• Provides holistic care for patients and families with a wide range of conditions.
• Identifies and consistently recognizes changes in normal and abnormal parameters in the patient's physiological, psychological, cultural, developmental, and spiritual needs.
• Develops a plan individualized to the patient of the situation.
• Ensures patient progression along the plan.
• Incorporates the patient's physiological, psychological, cultural, developmental and spiritual needs into the plan of care.
• Coordinates care delivery.
• Health Teaches and Health Promotes strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Consults with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Required Additional Requirements

• Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience: 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience

Scheduling Requirements

Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.

Physical Requirements

• Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects.
• Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
