Corewell Health Trenton Hospital is a 193-bed, acute care teaching hospital sponsoring nine university-affiliated residency programs. About the role
The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited school of nursing (required).
- B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD required if not minimum BSN-prepared. New graduates or nurses with less than one (1) year of experience must enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure and complete it within five (5) years (effective April 18, 2023).
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (required upon hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation (required upon hire).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA (required upon hire for most areas; required within 180 days for Critical Care, Emergency Care, Pre-Op and PACU, and Radiology).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification from the Emergency Nurses Association (required within 1 year for Emergency Care).
- Specialty certification from a preferred list (required upon hire).
- ICU experience preferred.

Schedule
- Full-time, evening shift (1500 to 0330).
- 36 scheduled hours per week.
- Variable days worked.
- Every other weekend required.
