About the role
Provides perioperative assistance to surgeons before, during, and after surgeries.
Key Duties
- Positions patients
- Assists with visualization
- Manipulates tissues
- Controls bleeding
- Aids in wound closure
- Applies evidence-based practices to ensure safe, effective patient care
- Assist during surgeries
- Maintain patient safety
- Follow clinical guidelines
- Perform assigned tasks in a surgical environment
Qualifications
- Completion of an RNFA program or equivalent
- At least two years of RN experience in advanced surgical specialties
Certifications
- Valid RN license
- BLS certification
- CNOR credential
Skills
- Strong communication
- Physical endurance
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and safety protocols
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, lifting, and fine motor skills necessary for patient handling and surgical support
