RN- Family Medicine MSU (Casual Call, Day Shift)

This role involves working in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the healthcare team, planning and implementing patient and family education, and assessing needs to initiate appropriate interventions for patients.

Qualifications

• Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing

Preferred qualifications:

• Outpatient clinic experience
• Knowledge of electronic health record operating systems

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation (Assessment)
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care)
• Implement the identified plan of care
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
• Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
• Attain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practice
• Evaluate one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations
• Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues
• Collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
• Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice
• Integrate research findings into practice
• Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession

In addition to the essential functions listed, employees must complete all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

Schedule

• Requires regular and sustained attendance
