The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Preferred qualifications

• BSN degree.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life‑support credential(s) such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or other clinical specialty certifications.
• Visual color acuity appropriate to the specific unit role.
