Schedule

Days from 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions, such as selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after the procedure.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare the Operating Room, surgical instruments and surgical equipment for use.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. If performing moderate/procedural sedation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 6 months of hire. One year RN experience required or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
• Two years of recent experience as an RN

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.

Pay

Minimum hourly: $35.50 Maximum hourly: $55.60
