M Health Fairview is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse - Endoscopy to join our team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. About This Unit

Our Endoscopy department serves a diverse population of both inpatient and outpatients, providing Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy and Minor Surgical procedures. Working as a team with the physician and Endoscopy technician we perform diagnostic and therapeutic exams for patients in our department, the OR, ICU, ED and Surgery. Endoscopy is a fast-paced, complex environment offering advanced learning opportunities for the right candidate while partnering with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care.
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP).
• The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).
• The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
• ACLS
• 2-5 years of current RN Endoscopy procedure experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• Critical Care Experience

Schedule

This position is 72 hours per two weeks on the day shift, 8 hour shifts with weekends as needed. Off premise call is required to cover evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
