RN, Employee Health (Per Diem)

Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities Of The Job

• Collections, reviews, and assesses pre-employment data collection
• Performs ongoing health screening including annual TB screening, immunization compliance, annual flu administration, FIT Testing, USP 800 compliance and exposure to communicable disease
• Plans, monitors, and manages compliance to ensure employee compliance with annual health screening and flu shot administration
• Provides basic counseling as requested by employees and management
• Affords assistance with worker’s compensation injuries
• Participates in various system and local committees
• Manages, maintains, and ensures compliance with Employee Health policies
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Occupational Health experience preferred
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, Department of Health, Department of Labor, NIOSH, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA preferred
• Current California RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Certificate in Occupational Health preferred
