RN - Employee Health - Per Diem
Employment Type: Part time, Per Diem – Day Shift, 8hr shift
Location: St. Mary Medical Center, occasionally float to Nazareth Hospital
About the role
A registered nurse who provides occupational health services for St. Mary Medical Center colleagues and WorkCare clients while serving as a liaison between all parties involved in worker’s compensation cases. The employee health nurse also promotes health and safety of employees through prevention, recognition, and case management of injuries and illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Serves as case manager facilitating injury reporting and claim management of work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Provides accurate documentation and maintains employee health charts. Ensures confidentiality of all employee files.
- Assists with health screenings including, but not limited to TB screening, immunizations, respiratory fit testing, and exposures to communicable diseases or blood-borne pathogens.
- Performs drug testing as indicated by Substance Free Workplace Policy.
- Performs phlebotomy services.
- Maintains inventory and supplies needed for daily operations.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to Workers’ Compensation, and occupational health and safety, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
- PA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification.
- 2-4 years of experience required.
