Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
  • Perform assessments and analyze patient problems using critical thinking to determine need for standard, urgent, or emergent interventions.
  • Implement and/or modify the plan of care using assessment data, standards of care, and evidence-based practice, including nursing care coordination, patient and family education, and discharge planning.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
  • Integrate ethical provisions in nursing practice and deliver care in a manner that preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of desired patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required upon hire).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kentucky (required upon hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification (required upon hire).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 90 days).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required within 6 months).
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification (required within 12 months).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (preferred upon hire).

Pay

$30.00 - $43.50 per hour.
