Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans according to established protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and administer medications as necessary.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with new developments in emergency nursing practice and incorporate these into patient care.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• One year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification (BLS).
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of emergency department protocols and procedures.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $47.36 to $71.04 per hour. Additional compensation may be available based on experience and performance.

Schedule

Shifts are 12-hour variable, 3 times per week. Temporary assignments are 3-6 months with possible extensions up to 1 year.
