RN Emergency Room Full Time Nights

About the role

The Emergency Room Nurse will be responsible for evaluation and care of emergency room patients.

Responsibilities

• Triage of patient
• Initial assessment
• Notification of ED physician of patient arrival and condition
• Implementing physician orders
• Assisting the ED physician with any procedures as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• At least 5 years experience as a RN in hospital Emergency Room preferred
• RN, current in the State of Texas
• BLS
• Current ACLS / PALS preferred or included in education plan
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
