Join Our Team at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC). For more than 60 years, we've been providing compassionate, high-quality care in the Greater Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and putting people first—both our patients and our employees. Whether you're on the front lines of patient care or supporting operations behind the scenes, you'll find a culture of collaboration, growth, and respect.

About the Role

Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department provide direct and indirect patient care, ensuring each individual receives the highest quality of treatment according to medical center protocols. Key responsibilities include administering medications, performing treatments, and conducting thorough nursing assessments while collaborating closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals. Challenges often faced include managing high-stress situations, rapidly changing conditions, and maintaining precision during emergent patient care. This role requires effective communication with patients and their families to understand and meet their needs, often under pressing circumstances.

Shift work is typical in this environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability to varying patient loads and acuity. Shifts include both 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.

About the Emergency Room Department

In the Emergency Room at CRMC, we see it all—from critical traumas that demand split-second decisions to more routine concerns that simply can't wait until Monday. As a rural healthcare facility, we are both the first line of defense in life-threatening emergencies and the safety net for our community. Whether it's coordinating an emergency airlift, managing multiple cases, or simply being there to listen when a patient needs reassurance, our team is skilled at adapting to whatever the day brings. No matter what comes through our doors, we are ready. And every shift is an opportunity to make a difference.
