About the role

We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, while maintaining accountability for quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Affirms the importance of cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions.
  • Maintains involvement in activities aimed at achieving unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives.
  • Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
  • Adapts behavior to specific patient populations, ensuring privacy and clear communication.
  • Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources effectively.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Work Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Certifications Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, CPI Certification within 30 days of hire, ACLS Certification within 90 days of hire, PALS Certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred: Certification in Clinical Specialty Area.

Qualifications

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to demonstrate good judgement. Good interpersonal skills.

Skills

Effective use of the nursing process in delivering patient care. Ability to assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies.
