RN - Emergency Department

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is a Magnet Hospital, recognized for its excellence in nursing. The Emergency Department (ED) is a Level II Trauma Center specializing in general emergency/trauma, cardiac services, sepsis care, and SANE services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey.
• Interact directly with patients and their families, enhancing their experience and providing healthcare education as needed.
• Contribute to education within the specialty of cardiac care.
• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric).
• One year of current acute care RN experience and/or ED experience, or licensed military RN experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Critical care background preferred.

Pay

• Minimum hourly: $35.50
• Maximum hourly: $55.60

Schedule

• Evenings from 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 a.m.
• Weekend and holiday requirements.
