RN - Educator

Shape clinical excellence and inspire the next generation of nurses as an experienced Registered Nurse Educator at Elderwood at Hamburg. This role leads staff education, clinical competency development, and professional growth across our nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation and onboarding for nursing staff
• Develop and deliver clinical education programs
• Conduct competency assessments and skills validation
• Support regulatory compliance and survey readiness
• Mentor and coach nursing staff
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Baccalaureate degree preferred
• Experience in in-service education or teaching skills
• At least one year of experience in a long-term health care facility
• Ability to work cooperatively with personnel at all levels
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiasm, interest in resident needs, and commitment to quality assurance
• Intermediate or advanced proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
