RN - ED - Full Time - Days (11am-11pm)
About the Role
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) with a shift from 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM in the 26-bed Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital Washington. The department serves the community 24/7 and is the only trauma-rated or pediatric ED in the area. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, and you will be supported by patient care techs, paramedics, and patient support associates. The team culture is motivated, hardworking, and united.
Requirements
- Current RN license (or compact license)
- Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (or within 30 days), plus unit-specific certifications
- Must live within 45 minutes of Mercy Hospital Washington
- Experienced nurses only
