RN - ED - Full Time - Days - 9am-9:30pm

About the Role

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the 26‑bed Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital Washington, operating 24/7. The department is the only trauma‑rated and pediatric ED in the area, with a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:4 and support from patient care technicians, paramedics, and patient support associates. Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of care to assigned patients.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct‑care givers.
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Requirements

• Current RN license (or compact license).
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lb regularly.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (or obtain within 30 days), plus unit‑specific certifications.
• Residence within 45 minutes of Mercy Hospital Washington.

Schedule

Full‑time, 36 hours per week. Shift: 9:00 am – 9:30 pm.
