Job Summary

You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will assess, perform skilled procedures, implement care plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery.
  • Assess patient needs, gather relevant data, implement appropriate interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Plan care based on patient needs identified during assessments.
  • Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care within the scope of practice.
  • Administer, oversee, and document medication administration as per hospital policy.
  • Prepare patients for discharge and assist with coordinating post-discharge needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to contribute to dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to department and hospital policies and procedures, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards.
  • Keep up-to-date with trends, developments, and regulatory requirements impacting your scope of responsibility.
  • Document care delivered and patient status according to FHS standards of care.
  • Receive and ensure appropriateness, accuracy, timeliness, and execution of physician orders.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • New graduate or RNs without E.D. or Critical Care experience AND successful completion of the E.D. residency program.
  • Registered Nurse: Basic Life Support - CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 60 days, 12- months, and 12- months respectively.
  • Bachelor's of Science Nursing preferred, one year of related work experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years or Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certified Emergency Nurse.
