ECMO ICU

• Competent in all mechanical circulatory devices including percutaneous and implantable ventricular assist devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy and ECMO.
• Dedicated ICU physicians and ACNP coverage 24/7.
• 100% certification rate (CCRN, CSC).
• Multiple research trials and publications.
• 1 of 2 NTX ECMO programs with ECMO Specialist RN led transport teams.

Patient Population

• All ECLS patients receiving VA, VV, VP, VA-V, RVAD and ECPR therapies.
• Disease processes including but not limited to postcardiotomy syndrome, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, pre and post heart/lung transplant, ARDS, and post cardiac arrest.

Department Specifics

• 10 dedicated ECMO beds located inside CTTICU.
• Multiple research trials and publications.
• 1 of 2 NTX ECMO programs with ECMO Specialist RN led transport teams.

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Licenses/Certifications: RN – Registered Nurse, min 1-year CVICU or SICU experience, BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire), ACLS- American Heart Association, CCRN – through AACN within 6 months of hire.
