Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Director Stroke Telemetry is responsible for directing and managing the operations and activities of the Telemetry / Stroke department. They ensure the department meets quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives. They also manage staff performance and departmental responsibilities in compliance with corporate, hospital, and safety policies.

• Directs and manages the operations of the Telemetry / Stroke department.
• Manages staff performance and departmental responsibilities.
• Ensures the efficient operation of the department and optimal use of resources.
• Assures quality service by assuming the role as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the department and staff.
• Maintains compliance with JCAHO Standards, corporate policy and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provides high-quality patient care to and acts as a liaison with patients, physicians, employees, and community agencies.
• Manages the department to meet quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Manages staff performance and departmental responsibilities in compliance with corporate, hospital, and safety policies.
• Manages the department to meet JCAHO Standards, comply with corporate policy and procedures, and promote teamwork with physicians and all health care providers.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
• Certified Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience as a Nursing Manager or Nursing Director in an acute care Hospital setting.
