RN Director, Critical Care | Logan Health Whitefish
About the role
Logan Health Whitefish is looking for an experienced healthcare leader to join our team as Director, Critical Care. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing both our Emergency Department and Special Care Unit (SCU), with the opportunity to influence clinical operations, quality, patient safety, workforce strategy, financial performance, employee engagement, and the continued development of our teams. We're looking for a leader who can see both the big picture and the day-to-day details. Someone who builds strong teams, develops leaders, partners effectively with physicians and medical staff, uses data to drive improvement, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when the work gets complex.
Responsibilities
- Lead two critical areas of patient care
- Develop and mentor leaders and frontline teams
- Drive quality, safety, and operational improvement
- Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders
- Oversee staffing, productivity, resources, and departmental budgets
- Strengthen employee and physician engagement
- Translate organizational strategy into meaningful action
- Help shape the future of emergency and critical care at Logan Health Whitefish
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five years of relevant leadership experience
- Current Montana RN license or qualifying multistate compact license
- Strong healthcare leadership, operational, and financial acumen
- A leader who brings integrity, accountability, collaboration, and compassion to their work
