RN Director Critical Care ICU

Job Summary

The Department Director oversees the operations and activities of the ICU/CCU Department, ensuring quality service, compliance with standards, and effective resource management.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of Critical Care clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
• Minimum 2 years management experience as a Nursing Manager or Nursing Director in an acute care Hospital setting

About the Role

Directs and manages the operations and activities of the ICU/CCU Department, responsible for achieving quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities

Assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the department and staff to ensure quality service on a 24-hour basis. Manages supplies and equipment, promotes teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, and promotes internal and external customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Complies with JCAHO/CMS standards, corporate policy and procedures, and promotes teamwork with physicians and all health care providers.
