Responsibilities

  • Caring for inpatients on the Dialysis Unit using state-of-the-art dialysis technology and following a 'patient-first' methodology to deliver exceptional care.
  • Delivering exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interacting directly with patients and their families, and offering healthcare education as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • If in a Critical Care area, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of hire.
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Open to New Grads.
  • Dialysis experience not required.

Skills

  • Provides direct nursing care.
  • Implements, monitors, evaluates, updates and revises patient care plans.
  • Maintains accurate records and communicates patients’ conditions.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Affords discharge planning and patient education.

  • Flexible work schedule with 36-hour work week, 3 shifts per week, Saturdays required, Sundays not routinely scheduled, and on-call rotation approximately 1–2 times every 6 weeks.

Pay

  • Minimum hourly: $35.50
  • Maximum hourly: $55.60

Physical Requirements

  • Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
