About the role
This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The RN demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients based on criteria that is age appropriate and tailored to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patient.
Under the direction of the Radiology Director, the RN manages daily operations of Interventional Radiology. This position may rotate to other areas and perform duties for which competency has been demonstrated. The IR Supervisor delegates duties consistent with their scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC. The IR Supervisor displays positive support for NSMC and the entire HealthONE organization, caring for patients from adolescent to geriatric.
The IR Supervisor serves as the educator for Imaging services, participates on committees, manages supply/inventory, oversees staff performance and evaluations, and is responsible for Interventional Radiology QC and PI data. They also serve as an educational resource to all radiology staff and hospital departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of Interventional Radiology.
- Rotate to other service areas and perform duties for which competency has been demonstrated.
- Delegate duties consistent with scope of practice.
- Provide patient care based on age-appropriate criteria.
- Serve as an educator for Imaging services and participate on committees.
- Manage supply and inventory.
- Oversee staff performance and conduct evaluations.
- Responsible for Interventional Radiology QC and PI data.
- Act as an educational resource to radiology staff and hospital departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- AHA or ARC BLS certification.
- AHA or ARC ACLS certification.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable.
- 2 years of critical care experience in specialty unit preferred (Critical Care, Emergency Department, PACU, Radiology).
