RN-Departmental Coordinator

About the role

The Departmental Coordinator supports the operational, clinical, educational, and staffing functions of the clinical Department. This leadership role combines staffing coordination, employee education, quality improvement initiatives, and day-to-day operational management to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource for staff
• Affords assistance with departmental performance improvement activities
• Takes operational oversight of the department in the absence of the Director
• Maintains monitoring of the work environment to ensure safe and efficient operations

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse License and valid BLS Certification
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
