About the role
Part-time position, 24 hours per week. 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Every third weekend required.
Responsible for assisting leadership in planning, organizing, educating, and implementing activities related to the area of responsibility's core operations. The RN Coordinator ensures workflow turnaround times are met, tracks daily workflow, coordinates staff scheduling, and manages special projects. Serves as a key liaison among the team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates projects and collaborates with other departments to ensure continuity of care, including leading specific survey or accreditation programs.
- Actively uses the nursing process in goal-focused patient care, demonstrating accountability as an individual and team member.
- Synthesizes information from various sources to develop and implement individualized, collaborative plans of care and discharge plans.
- Assists the nursing care team in complex patient situations, applying critical clinical thinking skills and patient education.
- Documents actions taken to address the plan of care.
- Identifies and communicates pertinent patient information to the healthcare team, patients, and families clearly and concisely to ensure complete patient continuum of care and appropriate resource utilization.
- Serves as a resource for staff, ensuring timely, continuous, and collaborative assessments and preparation of patients and families for the next level of care.
- Assesses patient and family learning needs, coordinates necessary teaching, and evaluates teaching outcomes.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes safe and appropriate patient care protocols as outlined in standards of practice and unit/department policy and procedure manuals.
- Reports all operating process issues to leadership in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- Must be able to work the specified hours, including visual acuity and effective communication skills to perform position duties.
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice (required upon hire).
- 1-3 years of nursing experience (required).
- Specialty certification in area of nursing practice (preferred).
- Leadership experience (preferred).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $34.50 - $51.50 per hour, dependent upon experience.
