About the Role

Join the Operating Room team at Baylor The Heart Hospital Dallas, a fast-paced environment that includes high-acuity patients. This is a full-time seasonal opportunity with the potential to convert to a regular full-time, part-time, or PRN role after the 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients undergoing vascular surgery and minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery.
• Work in a team of 1 RN and 1 tech per case; high-acuity cases may require 2 RNs and 1 tech.
• Scrub in as an RN (training provided if needed).
• Participate in call requirements: one weeknight every week, one weekend every 6th weekend, and one holiday per year.
• Engage in a culture of innovation, evidence-based practice, and leadership advancement.

Requirements

• 1+ year of Cardiac or Vascular OR RN experience (2+ years preferred).
• Experience scrubbing as an RN is highly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Schedule

• Full-time seasonal position with a 13-week contract.
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), excluding the first week of orientation (Monday–Friday).
• Rotating weekends required.

Pay

• Seasonal rate of $51 per hour.
• Shift differentials: $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends (stackable).
• $1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time.
