RN Critical Care- PACU- PRN

About the role

We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role acts as a leader in the provision of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Affirms the importance of patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in Clinical Specialty Area preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
