RN-Critical Care - OLGMC PACU, Weekend Program - full time
About the role
We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, while assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quality patient outcomes through the nursing process.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources appropriately.
- Evaluate and promote changes to achieve optimal patient care outcomes.
- Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, ensuring privacy and clear communication.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
This position requires a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred, but not required. A current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association are mandatory. Certification in a clinical specialty area is preferred.
Qualifications
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to present information clearly and professionally, are required. Strong organizational and time management skills are also necessary.
Skills
Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements is important. The ability to embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, and to adapt to the specific patient population, is crucial.
