RN - Critical Care - Night Shift - Full Time
About the role
This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. It involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, assessing learning needs, implementing teaching strategies, managing nursing team resources, evaluating and promoting change, and serving as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Affirms learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient groups.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal).
- Serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, explaining services or procedures, requesting permissions, and communicating style.
Requirements
- Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Work Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Certifications Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Certification in Clinical Specialty Area preferred.
Qualifications
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Frequent exertion of 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects; occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work.
