Registered Nurse - Critical Care - Full-Time, Night Shift

About the role

Provides individualized, outcome-focused nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and implementation, in accordance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and document care accurately.
• Deliver patient-centered care and facilitate discharge or transfer processes.
• Ensure a safe environment by verifying patient identity and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Understand and follow emergency procedures.
• Maintain professional development through evidence-based practice, legal compliance, and ongoing education.
• Effectively use technology and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Promote patient and family-centered care by respecting their values, preferences, and participation in care planning.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and incorporate age-specific needs, utilizing resources like interpreters when necessary.

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Active RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior acute care experience preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required depending on department needs.
