About the role

The RN Coordinator facilitates patient transfers, transports, and placements across HCA facilities, ensuring timely and efficient patient care. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate patient transfers and placements from various referral sources to appropriate facilities.
  • Coordinate patient movements with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Ensure accurate and concurrent data collection and maintenance in patient records and center workflow systems.
  • Communicate patient information accurately to physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators.
  • Identify and address barriers to patient throughput and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to improve processes and systems.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).

  • Knowledge of hospital and clinical operations and patient care practices.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Proactive decision-making abilities.
