About the role
The RN Coordinator facilitates patient transfers, transports, and placements across HCA facilities, ensuring timely and efficient patient care. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient transfers and placements from various referral sources to appropriate facilities.
- Coordinate patient movements with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff.
- Ensure accurate and concurrent data collection and maintenance in patient records and center workflow systems.
- Communicate patient information accurately to physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators.
- Identify and address barriers to patient throughput and patient safety.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to improve processes and systems.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).
