RN - Clinical Team Leader

About the role

The Clinical Team Leader is responsible for providing direct patient care as the charge nurse, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, and leading clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and make decisions for departmental staff to maintain quality care
• Develop staffing plans based on patient needs and oversee daily operations
• Monitor workflow, adjust staffing to meet fiscal and care goals
• Facilitate patient flow, admissions, and discharges efficiently
• Support department objectives related to patient experience, length of stay, and quality metrics
• Participate in process improvement and departmental initiatives
• Assist in employee evaluations, peer interviews, and incident investigations

Qualifications and Skills

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Completion of charge nurse training and competencies
• Current RN license in Texas or compact license
• Clinical certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, with advanced certifications (e.g., CCRN, CEN) within two years
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
