RN Clinical Nurse II (Per Diem) UNC Hillsborough Hospital Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct and indirect care for patients presenting with minor illnesses/ injuries to critical/ trauma injuries.
• Stabilizes and potentially transports patients requiring critical/traumatic injuries to the Main ED / Trauma Level 1 Center at UNC Medical Center.
• Works in a diverse environment in a community hospital setting contributing to a challenging and rewarding clinical environment.
• Accomplishes accreditation as a Level 2 Geriatric Emergency Department and being the first in North Carolina to receive this designation.
• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.

Requirements

• One (1) year of relevant and current experience required.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Knowledgeable about activities which facilitate intra/interdepartmental collaboration.
• Aware of public policy and regulatory guidelines affecting the health care environment.
• Promotes a safe, clean and secure hospital environment for all.

Skills

Prefer one year of nursing experience in emergency department or critical care/intermediate care. We will provide training to meet individual needs.

Benefits

Per Diem positions require a commitment to work 24 hours a month at a minimum, 1 summer, and 1 winter holiday shift. As a per diem employee, you do not receive benefits and are an at-will employee.

Pay

$33.88 - $47.91 per hour (Hiring Range)
