RN Clinical Nurse II - 4 HV Cardiac Intensive Care

About Our CICU

Our team specializes in caring for critically ill cardiovascular patients with complex conditions, including:

• STEMI and acute coronary syndromes
• Advanced heart failure
• Cardiomyopathy
• Cardiogenic shock
• Post-cardiac arrest care

You'll collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, care managers, chaplains, patient care technicians, telemetry support staff, and experienced critical care nurses to provide comprehensive cardiovascular critical care.

• Deliver safe, high-quality critical care to complex cardiovascular patients
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced hemodynamic therapies
• Recognize and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care
• Educate and support patients and their families
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Support a culture of teamwork, professional development, and clinical excellence

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• At least one year of acute care nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiovascular ICU, Cardiovascular Care or other critical care experience
• Experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, or TTM
• Cardiovascular critical care experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to continued learning and professional growth

Schedule

Full-time, day shift, 36 hours per week. Onsite at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC.

Pay

$34.22 - $48.38 per hour (hiring range), with offers determined by experience and internal equity.
