RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery
About the role
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) serves as a key member of the Labor & Delivery leadership team. The CNC is responsible for managing patient-centered care coordination within the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to Good Samaritans' vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care
- Supervise personnel providing direct patient care and delegate activities based on patient care needs and exercise judgement regarding patient care assignments using established policies/procedures and assessing competencies of available patient care staff
- Perform Nurse Leader Rounding
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
- Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively superior organization
- Assist with staff scheduling
- Manage all practical aspects of staff labor, including the administration of time & attendance within Kronos, in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- CA license in good standing
- BLS & ACLS required
- NRP required
- Minimum 2 years of Clinical Labor & Delivery experience required
- Leadership or management experience preferred

Pay
