RN Clinical Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement nursing philosophy and objectives.
• Develop policies, procedures, and staffing essential to the Center's goals.
• Evaluate programs and patient care activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Document patient care to meet legal and health standards.
• Administer personnel administration, including recruitment, retention, and evaluation.
• Maintain awareness of professional issues impacting nursing services.
• Initiate and support cost control initiatives.
• Manage inventory and oversee medical supplies and equipment purchases.
• Supervise staff in the Administrator's absence.
• Provide guidance, counseling, and support to the nursing staff.
• Reduce the risk of nosocomial infections.
• Collect and supervise the collection of required records and reports.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and conferences.
• Serve on the Quality Improvement Committee.
• Evaluate and improve services provided by operating room, pre-operative area, and PACU.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• Three years of operating room/critical care experience preferred.
• Two years supervisory experience in the outpatient surgery area a plus.
• Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others.
