About the Role
Your leadership has purpose. As a Clinical Director, you’re not just overseeing operations, you’re shaping the care experience for patients and empowering the clinicians who walk alongside them.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care
- Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Hospice Aides
- Coordinate staffing and patient assignments to ensure continuity and appropriate levels of care
- Partner with the Interdisciplinary Team to support patient-centered care planning and outcomes
- Conduct team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance evaluations to support growth and accountability
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and all state and federal regulations
- Monitor documentation, billing-related records, and clinical practices for accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with executive and regional leadership to achieve departmental and organizational goals
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing education of nursing staff in partnership with HR and Education teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Active, unencumbered Virginia RN license (or compact license with VA conversion within 90 days)
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including:
- At least 2 years in hospice care
- At least 2 years in a nursing leadership or management role
- CHPN certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years)
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, healthcare operations, and clinical best practices
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire teams
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Experience with EMR systems and comfort with technology
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current insurance
Qualifications
- Full-time, primarily Monday–Friday business hours with leadership responsibilities as needed
- 21 days of PTO in your first year, $.65 per mile mileage reimbursement, company-paid life insurance and long-term disability, medical coverage through an ICHRA model with multiple plan options, and a 401(k) with company match (100% match on the first 3%, 50% match on the next 1%)
