About the CDU: The Clinical Decision Unit is designed for patients who require additional monitoring, testing, or treatment before a decision is made regarding discharge or hospital admission. This dynamic unit offers nurses the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while developing strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills. What You'll Do: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plansMonitor patients requiring observation and ongoing evaluationAdminister medications and treatments according to physician ordersCollaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, case management, and ancillary departmentsEducate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructionsRecognize and respond to changes in patient conditionEnsure high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care Qualifications: Current Georgia RN license or compact state RN licenseGraduate of an accredited nursing programBLS Certification within 30 days of hireAcute care, telemetry, emergency department, medical-surgical, or observation unit experience preferredStrong assessment, time management, and critical thinking skills Benefits Doctors Hospital of Augusta, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
