RN Clinical Coordinator PACU

About the Role

As our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model. You will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity. This role promotes patient well-being and adheres to professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.
• Evaluate patient’s response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide leadership, support, and coordination of the unit’s daily operations during the designated shift.
• Assist in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities to ensure patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensure appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that the appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
• Serve as a liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or by endorsement.
• One (1) year of clinical RN experience.
• RN license to practice in the state of employment as applicable.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Nursing Specialty Certification.

Pay

$34.14 - $54.46 per hour.
