About the role

St Anthony North Hospital is seeking a RN Clinical Coordinator for the Operating Room. The position is available in Westminster, Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating strong clinical judgment and ensuring high-quality care delivery to each patient.
  • Acting as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Maintaining communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments.
  • Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Act as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical/legal/professional nursing.
  • Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Actively serves on unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity.
  • Being personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
  • Run front desk in the OR.
  • Ensure assignments for staff meet the daily need.
  • Schedule the next day’s assignments.
  • Communicate case changes to staff, support, and coach staff to build confidence and growth.
  • Hold staff accountable to policy and high standard of practice.
  • Collaborate with the lead Anesthesiologist on daily case flow and efficiency.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of educational programs/practices for department associates.
  • Act as leadership within the department to support staff, Manager and Director.
  • Will also be used on occasion to help out in the rest of the OR.
  • Clinical role - taking over rooms when coming in and any add ons throughout the night.
  • Prep rooms for next days cases when no surgeries are going on.
  • Coming in if needed and acting as department resource.
  • This will cover Gen/GU/GYN Service lines.
  • 10 OR Suites +1 Cysto Room+1 minor procedure room.
  • Approx. 600-700+ cases per month.
  • Schedule- 40 hrs/Week- Variable shift times/days per surgical Volume and current unit needs.
  • Call required- Approx. 4-6 call shifts per 6 week schedule block. May Vary.
  • Weekend Call is 0700-1930, 1900-0730, weekday call 1900-0730.
  • 30 Min call back radius.

Requirements

  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required. BSN, preferred.
  • Licensure: RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required. Nursing Specialty Certification, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Physical Requirements: Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly).

Qualifications

  • Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus!
  • Previous OR Experience across multiple service lines required.
  • Previous Leadership Experience preferred.

Pay and Recognition

CommonSpirit Health pays a reasonable estimate of the hourly rate based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
