Position Summary The RN Clinic, Pain provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment for acute and chronic pain conditions within the outpatient clinic setting. This role conducts focused patient assessments, assists with interventional pain procedures, and coordinates individualized care plans to support safe and effective pain management. Working collaboratively with pain specialists, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care partners, the RN helps ensure accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and clear patient education. The position functions within a supportive, procedure-focused environment where communication, precision, and teamwork are essential. By maintaining procedural readiness, supporting safe sedation and sterile practices, and adhering to Trinity Health standards, the RN Clinic, Pain contributes to high-quality outcomes and a patient-centered pain management experience. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments, administer ordered treatments, and support providers during pain management procedures and interventions.Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile fields, and assist with patient positioning, retraction, and procedural setup and cleanup.Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, including those receiving sedation, and document vital signs and clinical responses accurately.Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, laboratory specimen handling, and follow-up communication to support continuity of care.Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, medication regimens, self-management strategies, and signs that require medical attention.Collaborate with providers, anesthesia teams, and clinic staff to address patient concerns, support care transitions, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
