About the Role

PeaceHealth is seeking a RN Clinic - Dermatology for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening is $46.27 – $69.41. The hiring rate depends on factors such as education, training, work experience, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs, including triaging patient phone calls, counseling, providing education, taking histories, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patient and family care.
• Screen and prioritize patient inquiries concerning medical care, prescription refills, insurance authorizations, and referrals.
• Evaluate and respond to urgent or emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Education: Accredited School of Nursing (Required)
• Experience: 1 year as a registered nurse (Preferred)
• Credentials:
  • Registered Nurse in state of practice (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (Required upon hire)

Skills

• Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and a patient/family-centered work environment.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office applications.
• Effective prioritization skills.
• Ability to provide health education to patients, staff, and the community.
• Knowledge of Medicare, JCAHO, DNV, and HCFA regulations pertaining to ambulatory care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth, development, and life stages.

Working Conditions

• Physical Demands:
  • Lifting: Patient handling up to 35 lbs. without assistive equipment; non-patient lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
  • Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force.
  • Fine motor skills for grasping medical equipment and performing precise procedures.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and kneeling.
• Environmental Conditions:
  • Exposure to biohazards, body fluids, and airborne particles.
  • Noisy work environment.
• Mental/Visual Demands:
  • Normal vision and hearing (corrective aids permitted).
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
