RN Clinic Allergy

This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in a clinic setting and facilitating patient/physician/provider communication and coordination of care.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and patient histories; documents in EMR.
• Performs telephone assessment of patient condition and determines appropriate treatment for patient under the supervision of the provider.
• Administers prescribed medications/vaccines and treatments in accordance with clinic policies.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing, and treatment of patients.
• Assists in maintaining stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments/exam room.
• Performs room turnover in patient rooms between cases and at end of day.
• Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary.
• Provides patient education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate from a School of Nursing.
• Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota or, if licensed in another state, a permit from the Minnesota Board of Nursing while the license application is in process.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.

• Skills in preparing and maintaining records and reports.

• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

Pay

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
