About the Role

Our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is a 8-bed high acuity unit that provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency. The nurses work to collaborate with all disciplines of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various locations including the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas.
• Work in the CICU, which receives patients requiring specialized cardiac care.
• Collaborate with all members of the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure a pleasant and comfortable patient experience in a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in nursing.
• Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA NIHOR, Red Cross certifications (PALS preferred).
• Licenses: Registered Nurse state of Alabama or compact license.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in the field of specialty; 1 year of recent experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Every other weekend schedule.

• Ability to provide compassionate care in a high-acuity setting.
