RN Charge Nurse NICU FT Nights

Location: 7600 Better Way, Frisco, Texas

Shift: Full-time nights, three 12-hour shifts per week, 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m., including weekends, 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday

About the role

Registered Nurse Charge oversees patient care, follows nursing regulations, and fulfills the organization's priorities. This enhances responsibility to promote the mission. The main tasks involve evaluating patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, creating personalized care plans, and assessing patient responses.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing judgment and reasoning to make precise health assessments aligned with standard practices
• Check nursing procedures and use research to implement improvements
• Demonstrate caring practices by addressing emotional and physical discomfort to foster healing and prevent excess distress

Requirements

• Completed an established program in Nursing
• At least two years in the field
• Registered Nurse License
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred

• 3 years of experience in the NICU
• Minimum of 2 years as a Charge RN

Key Success Factors

• Familiarity with nursing and patient care protocols and practices
• Proven communication skills in speech and writing
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with smart critical thinking skills
