RN Charge Nurse - Full-Time Day Shift

About the role

The RN Charge Nurse in Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry oversees daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. They direct staff, manage patient assignments, monitor resources, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes. The role involves leadership tasks such as staffing, patient flow, physician rounding, and survey readiness, while serving as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students. Adherence to professional standards, evidence-based practice, and system policies is essential. Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing, patient assignments, and resource planning to support care delivery.
• Perform rounds to evaluate patient care quality and safety, ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
• Lead interdisciplinary communication, promote teamwork, and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Support professional development by mentoring staff and fostering a healthy work environment.
• Encourage evidence-based practice, research participation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage equipment, patient flow, and unit operations, including emergency and surgical bed assignments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Valid RN license and certifications including BLS, ACLS (or equivalent), required upon hire.
• Proven clinical experience in acute or cardiac care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and promote evidence-based practices.
