RN Charge Nurse

aQua Dialysis Clear Lake is seeking a full-time Charge Nurse. We offer an outstanding work environment with a team dedicated to improving the lives of our patients. An ideal candidate has experience as a dialysis charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs
• Respond to dialysis treatments
• Communicate concerns to the rounding physician
• Implement changes in patient care/treatment as directed
• Communicate with the physician and other members of the healthcare team
• Interpret, adjust, and complete patient care plans
• Deliver safe, effective patient care in compliance with facility policy and procedure, as well as regulations set forth by the company, state, and federal agencies
• Maintain overall shift operation in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
• Monitor and supervise all patient care activity during dialysis
• Aid as necessary
• Ensure educational needs of patients are met
• Provide education to patients and families about End Stage Renal Disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medication

Requirements

• Current Texas RN license
• CPR required

• Experience as a dialysis charge nurse

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong leadership and supervision skills
• Knowledge of End Stage Renal Disease and dialysis therapy

Pay

• Salary commensurate with experience

Schedule

• Open 6 days per week (closed Sundays)
• Typical hours are 10 hour days with an early shift starting at 4:30am
• Full-time is 3-4 days per week with alternate weekends off
