Job Overview

The Martin Luther Care Center RN Casual Nurse leads, supervises, and directs all nursing functions on assigned unit or floor to ensure care is provided according to the patient's plan of care. This position must demonstrate sound management skills through problem-solving and decision-making. They are responsible for supervising in compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as Ebenezer Standards and policies for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN (Martin Luther Care Center).

Team

• Includes a Director of Nursing, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Social Worker, and more.
• Weekend Long term care and transitional care unit charge nursing schedule includes: Casual/On-Call schedule, Day/evening/night shift, Weekends as needed.

Location

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living campus, is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Our community offers 137 units between our Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care.

Responsibilities

• Affirms staff compliance with State and Federal regulations, Nursing Standards of Practice, and Ebenezer Quality Assurance Standards.
• Affirms Care Plan, medical records, and other documentation are up to date.
• Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies.
• Reports problem areas to management and provides suggestions and solutions.
• Serves as facility supervisor and assumes administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates RN Degree
• One to three years’ experience required
• CPR / BLS certified

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Three to five years' experience preferred
• Previous LTC management experience preferred

Pay

This position provides one flat hourly rate, with regular reviews to ensure competitiveness with the market. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
